Maryann Chu

Maryann Chu is a Taiwanese-American author from New York City. Her mission is to make the Chinese language more accessible to all families, including those who do not read or speak the language fluently. After her daughter was born, Maryann wanted her to learn Chinese so that she would feel more connected to her cultural heritage. Unable to find many bilingual Chinese/ English children’s books with Pinyin language support however, she decided to write her own. Maryann graduated from MIT and Wharton, and has worked in the education and financial sectors in the US and China. Her hobbies include traveling, eating tasty foods, and testing the limits of her phone’s iCloud storage with pictures and videos of her little one.
