
Marzia Carbone is Italian, from the town of Alassio, in Liguria, but she grew up in a bilingual family (Italian and Dutch). She graduated in Music and later in Foreign Languages at the University of Genova. After that, she got her CEDILS certification (University Ca' Foscari of Venice) in applied linguistics and her master in Teaching Italian to foreign students. In addition to being a teacher of Italian in Mexico (where she lives) and in the USA, she is also an official examiner for CELI certificates (Italian certificate for foreign students, University of Perugia). In 2022 she published her first book "L'Italia e gli italiani: cultura e stereotipi" for people studying Italian language and culture, in 2023 "Vita in Messico: quello che forse non ti aspetteresti", in 2024 "AVVENTURE IN ITALIA: 20 SHORT STORIES IN ITALIAN THROUGH ALL THE REGIONS" for intermediate level (B1-B2) students.
