Matt Kalman, the founder/managing editor of TheBruinsBlog.net, has tirelessly covered the Boston Bruins beat since the 2005-06 season for various publications in Boston. He founded the TheBruinsBlog.net in November 2008. Matt has worked as a sports writer for more than a decade after graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism in 1997. He started his career as a general-assignment sports reporter in Winter Haven, Fla., before moving back to Boston to work as a senior editor at SchoolSports.com. After aiding numerous beats at papers like the Boston Herald and Manchester Union-Leader, Matt settled in on the Bruins beat. He was the Boston chapter chairman for the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association (PHWA) from 2007-2010 and is still a dues-paying member of the PHWA. His first book, “100 Things Bruins Should Know or Do Before They Die” will be published by Triumph Books in October 2010. Through his continued dedication to the Bruins beat, Matt hopes to keep bringing NHL fans and Bruins backers the best Bruins-related content possible — from the locker room, the press box and beyond.
