With over 25 years of health and fitness experience, Matthew Case has passionately assembled two of the most comprehensive books about strength, balance, and nutrition training for seniors. As the son of an educator and coach, he was raised on high academic and athletic standards and fell in love with learning and sports at an early age. Matthew attended Northwestern University and received a degree in music while competing on the varsity wrestling team. He became a two-time All-American, team captain, and learned the values of teamwork, leadership, and goal-setting. It was there that he also discovered strength and conditioning training and later went on to coach athletes at many different levels. He is first and foremost a husband to his beautiful wife and is “daddy matt" to his three children. His mother (Nancy) is the source of inspiration for the books and also one of the editors. Nancy battled several significant health issues that stymied her ability to enjoy a normal lifestyle. She found her solutions in better nutrition and regular exercise, and she is healthy again, energetic, and can now enjoy life to the fullest, especially with her grandchildren. Matthew and Nancy hope that these practical books, chock-full of exercises, motivational help, and enlightened by science will help others to achieve their goals for a better quality of life.
