My father was an active writer in journalism and when a new job came up he would drive six hundred miles round trip to see the family for a weekend. Enlightened to have been born, with a scribe's feather and quill by my crib and a mobile, with older brothers. Dad used a computer with green lettering on the screen that seemed to have been a word processor. That was when I saw the 'lead type' with a press for newspapers. Some of that rubbed off onto me and that chip on my shoulder makers me want to be a better writer.
