Maureen Holtz

关于作者

Maureen Holtz spent over twenty-five years as a software manager before retiring to write. She has written three non-fiction books and one novel. Her first two books were about an Illinois philanthropist. They are "Robert Allerton: The Private Man & The Public Gifts (2009), a biography she co-authored with Martha Burgin. Her follow-up photography book is "Allerton's Paradises" (2011). Her third book, "Images of America: Monticello" (2013) is an Arcadia publication. Her recently published novel, "The Last Resort" (2014) takes place in 2021 and focuses on the effects on an Illinois family when an African country legalizes physician-assisted suicide as a new twist on medical tourism. She writes fiction as a way to create a world with other possibilities.
