Mekdela

Mekdela is an Ethiopian-American writer, advocate, and organizer. She is a contributor of the anthology, "Pan African Spaces: Essays on Black Transnationalism." Her work has been featured in the North England Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Pennycress Zine. She is an avid student of Feminist theory and Critical Race theory. Mekdela earned her MA in Social and Public Policy from the University of Leeds, where she wrote about how the media and public perception shape each other and the public policies that create our realities.
