When she’s not writing, Melissa enjoys hanging out with her family. The best times are those spent enjoying a read aloud, piling into the hammock, or traversing the muddy trails near her home, all in the company of her five children and loving husband. Thankful for her adventures across Europe and Asia, Melissa believes living alongside and in different cultures has broadened her perspective and enriched her storytelling. In her slivers of downtime, Melissa loves to dig in the dirt and pretend to be a gardener. With her chickens by her side, you can find her on rainy days snuggled up with a book or pouring over a puzzle, teacup nearby and a mouth stuffed with chocolate.
