Melody Dean Dimick

Award-winning author Melody Dean Dimick, a former high school English teacher at Northern Adirondack Central School and adjunct communication lecturer at State University of New York at Plattsburgh, is a member of the Florida Writers Association (FWA), the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA), and the Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA). Her works appear in several FWA collections. Melody served on the board of the Daytona Writers Guild (DWG) and has won two DWG Excellence in Arts Awards. Melody’s young adult novel No Parents Allowed captured a Royal Palm Literary Award. Her most recent novel in verse, Broken, won awards in both the poetry and young adult categories from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association. In her spare time, Melody enjoys traveling and playing pickleball and pinochle with her husband, Barry.
