Meredith Hill is a very “horsey” person who grew up in a very non-horsey environment. Still, armed with endless determination, she is now proud to count over 30 years of participation in the equestrian community. Ms.Hill has spent many years participating in the ultimate equestrian networking activity: cleaning stalls. Her manure technician skills have provided her with insight into a USDF competition barn, several A-circuit hunter barns, an American Warmblood breeding facility, an equine rescue and rehabilitation center, and a more private, backyard barns than she can remember. Through these connections, she’s been able to dabble in a wide variety of disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, reining, western pleasure, trail riding, three-day eventing, and barrel racing. Given the diversity of her experiences, Ms. Hill has learned a great deal about horses and horse keeping. She has attended and participated in seminars and clinics with top equestrians, including Jane Savoie, John Lyons, Jim Wofford, and Lendon Gray. Though she competed with her college’s Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team, she stepped away from the show ring after college to focus on horse care and rehabilitation. Today, she dabbles in dressage with her off-the-track Thoroughbred gelding, Red, and her AQHA mare, Belle.
