Who were the Nazis? How and why did they do what they did? What became of them after World War II? My books answer all of those questions and more. Since 2001 I have been working on multiple series of books providing comprehensive information and photos on the senior leadership of the Third Reich. At this time, I have had seven books published by three publishers (one American, two British). I present only the facts, gleaned from countless hours of research in and outside of numerous archives, museums, and libraries, and leave it to the reader to reach their own conclusions about the men whose lives, careers, and crimes I document. Sir Ian Kershaw, author of one of the best biographies of Hitler (in two volumes), wrote the foreword to one of my books: "The reference works by Michael Miller and Andreas Schulz, painstakingly compiled on the basis of meticulous research, are a great help to historians of the Third Reich and to anyone wishing to learn precise biographical and career details of the Nazi leadership. This latest volume, providing a plethora of personal data on the SA leadership, is no exception. I know of no comparable compilation. It would have saved me much endeavour had it been available when I was writing my biography of Hitler. I'm sure it will now be warmly welcomed, as it deserves to be, by scholars and students of Nazi Germany, and I'm very happy to record my own pleasure at its publication." Sincerest thanks to everyone who supports my work. ~ Michael D. Miller
