Michael G. Starkey is a conservation biologist, ecological consultant and public speaker working to educate and involve the public in wildlife conservation issues. From collaborating with communities to protect rare frogs in Ghana to tracking Yucatán black howler monkeys in Belize, Michael has worked with a wide diversity of wildlife from around the world. However, his passion has always been focused on snakes and he has worked on projects in California with San Francisco garter snakes, giant garter snakes, and northern Pacific rattlesnakes. Michael is the Founder and Executive Director of Save The Snakes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to snake conservation. He uses his knowledge, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for snake conservation to engage the public in protecting these beautiful animals. Michael gives educational presentations around the world to inform the public about the threats facing wildlife and to help nurture a society that respects and appreciates nature.
