Michael (Mike) Marvins is a fourth generation Texas photographer who divides his time between Houston and Ingram, Texas. His first book, Texas Big Bend;A Photographic Adventure document the Big Bend region of Texas including the 850,000 acre Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, and iconic towns like Terlingua, Marathon, Marfa and Alpine. Over two hundred of Marvins' dramatic photographs capture the essence of this magnificent place that he has explored on foot, horseback and by canoe and kayak on the legendary Rio Grande River. All the author's proceeds for the book benefit the Big Bend Conservancy. The Texas Hill Country; A Photographic Adventure. with over 275 magnificent photographs, is truly unique.
