Michael Jacoby has always had this obsession to create things and tell stories. This obsession got stronger as he advanced through his education, gaining an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Burlington County College in May 2012 and later a B.A. in Graphic Design from Rutgers University, Camden in May 2015. While in the latter school, he learned about book binding and how to make posters and books. On October 1, 2016, he created his portfolio website, DoorJam Creations, to show off his graphic design work for potential employers. The following January, he added webcomics to the site, including "Americus Video" and "The Sbuirrels." On October 8, 2020, he published his first book, "Americus Video: The Holy Trinity", via Amazon KDP as a proof-of-concept/foot-in-the-door project, featuring the first three issues of the webcomic series, all of which were released on Jaunary 17, 2017. His second book, an official collection of webcomics in book form entitled "Americus Video: Fountains ‘R’ Mutt (2017-2019)", was published on April 20, 2021. His next book, "The Sbuirrels, Vol. 1: The First One (2017-2021)", was published on October 18, 2022, containing the first ten issues of "The Sbuirrels."
