Michael Legge

I have been writing plays and screenplays for over 30 years. Shake A Spear is my first published play, but I have mounted many other productions at my theater company, the Medway Players, located in Medway, MA. The Fabulous Imbecile and Time Was are also published by JAC Publications. I have also written other plays produced especially for Medway which include Staged Invasion and an original Marx Brothers musical, Out Patients. I also act and direct in both non/professional and professional theater. I've been an independent film maker since the 1970's, winning awards for my short comedies in different film festivals throughout the world. I am also the recipient of 2 grants from the NEA as finishing funds for two feature films, Loons and Cutthroats. A book about my film making career is available entitled, "A Democrazy of Braindrained Loons", written by Douglas Waltz and available on Amazon. Most of the my independent movies are available on CreateSpace and Amazon. The titles include Working Stiffs, Loons, Braindrainer, Potential Sins, Curtains, Night Basement, Evan Straw, My Mouth Lies Screaming, Honey Glaze and my newest, Coffee Run. My work has also been written about in History of Independent Cinema, Independent Film Distribution, Encyclopedia of Underground Movies, all by Phil Hall, and Making Movies on Your Own, by Kevin Lindenmuth.
