Michael R. Bradley

Michael R. Bradley earned a Ph.D. in History from Vanderbilt University in 1970. He taught at Motlow College, near Tullahoma, Tennessee, for 36 years prior to his retirement in 2006. He continues to write and speak to groups interested in history. Dr. Bradley is the author of several books dealing with the Civil War. The latest of these is They Rode With Forrest published by Pelican Press in 2012. "Murfreesboro in the Civil War" was released by The History Press in March 2012. This book is a history of the experiences of the citizens, black and white, Unionist and Confederate, who lived in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as the town changed hands several times between the opposing forces. Also published by The History Press is Forrest's Fighting Preacher: David C. Kelley of Tennessee.
