Midhat Rehman

Midhat Rehman is a professor of health policy and a public health researcher. When she was in school, her dream was to become a writer, but as a first-generation college student, she decided to take a more traditional route. However, that didn’t stop her from writing poetry and short stories in her free time. In 2022, after a mini health scare, Rehman decided to publish her first poetry collection, Thorns of Courage. The following year, she published her second poetry book, The Last Flower Standing, which went viral on Instagram and inspired her to write her third book, The Petals They Picked Apart. She combines her love of poetry with her storytelling skills to give readers a mental imagery of love, loss, betrayal, forgiveness, and healing through her words.
