About the Author: Author and musician Mifflin Lowe has had 13 books published selling over 300,000 copies in 7 languages. His books include Forgotten Founders (a Junior Library Guild 2022 Gold selection.) The True West, ( a 2021 Notable Social Studies Trade Book selection by the Children's Book Council and National Council for the Social Studies), Dad. The Man, The Myth, The Legend (2021) on the cover of Publishers Weekly and now in French, Italian, Spanish and Polish as well as English. (All the preceding from Bushel & Peck.) The Cuddle Book (Familius) featuring illustrations by Delia Ciccarelli was published in 2020. Beasts by the Bunches about the strange but true names for groups of animals was published as a book by Doubleday and also released as an award winning music album by Caedmon/Harper& Row. His humor books for adults include: The Cheapskate's Handbook, I Hate Fun, and How To Be A Celebrity (Price/Stern/Sloan) and The Cheapskate’s Handbook 2.0 (Familius.) His short stories include “Adam on Eve” and “American Jugs” (The Small Pond Magazine) and are now in Yale’s Beinecke Library Orbis Collection. Self published books include Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z. Recently, his animated film script, The Awesome, Amazing, Occasionally Astonishing Adventures of Cowboy Howie, won the blue ribbon prize in a script competition.
