Mike's energy and enthusiasm for writing fantasy fiction are found on every page--and the illustrations by award winning artist Victoria Taylor inspire each and every reader. Mike's mom, Martha, taught second grade. His dad, Bob, was a geologist. When Mike was eight years old, he told his Mom that he loved reading books and wanted to be a book writer. She suggested he go right ahead and do just that. Fifty years later, after time spent wildcatting in the Texas oil fields, directing at MGM Studios in Los Angeles and producing at Abbey Road Studios in London, he finally got around to it. Mike thinks it's always good to do what your Mom tells you. His six children think he is still very much an eight year old at heart. They call him "Dude" or "Hey!" He lives and writes in London.
