Mike McQuaide has written outdoor, travel, and lifestyle stories for everyone from Adventure Cyclist to Runner’s World to Sunset to Outside as well as numerous other publications and websites. Currently, he writes and shoots photographs regularly for the Seattle Times, Adventures NW, and has written six books on outdoor recreation and travel. An avid road cyclist and mountain biker, McQuaide has finished Ironman triathlons in Arizona and Idaho, an 8-hour mountain bike race in California, STP in a day, the mega-hilly Mount Shasta Summit Century and twice completed the 154-mile Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day (RAMROD).
