Mike Van Horn

关于作者

Mike Van Horn grew up in Botkins, Ohio during the 1960's and 70's. He's spent a career in sales working in Wapakoneta and its surrounding area. He majored in History at the University of Toledo and received the Andrew J. Townsend award, given each year to the outstanding History major. He was also named the Senior Scholar Athlete at the university after four years on the baseball team. He later became a runner, completing several marathons, including Boston twice. Mike is the proud owner of a "Go Wapakoneta Redskins" metal pin that was owned and worn by Neil Armstrong as well as a ticket stub carried by Neil to a luncheon held in his honor on the day of the 1969 parade mentioned in his book "Neil Down." These were obtained in the Armstrong family auctions, held by Heritage Auctions. Despite similar claims by other authors, Mike and his wife, Ann, live with the two greatest dogs (Great Pyrenees Sam and Gracie) and cats (Mango and Murphy) in captivity. They raised two pretty cool kids, Suzanne and Jack.
