Mikkel Gerken

Mikkel Gerken is a Danish philosopher (PhD, UCLA 2007). His work explores human cognition from the perspectives of epistemology, philosophy of mind and cognitive science. His research also involves language and communication, philosophy of science and philosophical methodology. Dr. Gerken is professor at the University of Southern Denmark. Before that he was an associate professor at the University of Edinburgh. He has been a visiting scholar at New York University (2011) and a visiting associate professor at Stanford University (2020). He was elected to the The Young Academy under the Royal Danish Academy of the Sciences (2012-2017) and was awarded a Young Elite Researcher prize from the Danish Ministry of Science (2009).
