Jon Miller

Jon Miller has 20 years of experience in the field of lean management, kaizen, operational excellence and the Toyota Production System. Jon is partner and co-founder of Gemba Academy, the leading lean management and continuous improvement e-learning company. In 1998 he co-founded and served as CEO of Gemba Research. In this role he spent 10 years as a senior consultant and trainer, growing the firm to over 40 people before merging it with the Kaizen Institute in 2011. Jon served as global CEO of Kaizen Institute Consulting Group, a 400-person consultancy, from 2011 to 2015. Jon was born in Japan and lived there for 18 years. He grew up fluent in the Japanese language and culture, which allowed him to work closely with Japanese kaizen gurus. Jon is the author of numerous articles for blogs and magazines. Jon translated and edited Taiichi Ohno's Workplace Management (McGraw-Hill, 2012).
