Miranda Wilson is an internationally performing cellist and the author of the new book "Notes for Cellists: A Guide to the Repertoire" (Oxford University Press). Previous books include "Cello Practice, Cello Performance," "The Well-Tempered Cello: Life with Bach's Cello Suites," and "Teaching Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass: Historical and Modern Pedagogical Practices" (co-authored with Dijana Ihas and Gaelen McCormick). Miranda Wilson is Professor of Cello at the University of Idaho and Artistic Director of the Idaho Bach Festival. When she isn't playing, teaching, or writing about the cello, she enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with her family and her two miniature schnauzers.
