Miss Charlotte, also known as Charlotte Thistle, is the recipient of a 2016 Parents' Choice Silver Award for her children's music CD, "A Spoonful of Songs", which her book of the same title is a companion to. A guitarist and songwriter with a lifelong love of music and dance, she was a student of ballet since the age of nine and guitar since the age of twelve. Miss Charlotte is a graduate of Shoreline Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree in music and won a contest to compose the Alma Mater school song. She has toured throughout the Northwest as a songwriter and musician, releasing two critically acclaimed albums: A Girl With a Guitar in 2005, and Wild Wind in 2010. She now resides in Seattle, WA, with her daughter, Ella. She teaches classes and workshops in children's music and performs all over the Puget Sound Area and beyond.
