Mme. Christine Marie King

Madame King has been a French teacher for over a decade in public schools, charters, and currently serves at a private school in Fort Worth Texas. She has taught all levels of French including the International Baccalaureate, Ab-initio, and AP French. She is passionate about passing on her love of the French language, culture, and customs to her students and to any learners who wish to experience the wonderful benefits of learning French. When she's not helping out at school she can be found walking her favorite French bulldog Olaf who is the main character in her newly released beginner French series, Bonjour Olaf for level 1 learners. She loves traveling to French speaking countries for events with the American Association of French teachers and other organizations like the Centre D' Études International de la Francophonie. She enjoys inspiring others to immerse themselves in a French overseas experience by attending a summer session at the university of Cavilam in Vichy. She received a grant from the French government to attend classes there in the summer of 2023 and can attest to the amazing resources and international networking that attending summer sessions provides for French language learners of all levels. When Madame King is not traveling to Winter Carnival in Québec for dog sledding and visiting the ice palace with students she is working on lesson plans to tackle real world problems using the AP and IB themes in hopes that new generations of students will be well informed and empowered to have agency as global citizens. She gives back to her community by offering to donate ten percent of all of her book sales throughout the year to help animals in need which is something her and Olaf feel very good about.
