Molly Wauson is a fourth grade teacher who currently lives in San Diego, CA with her husband and four children. She was inspired to write her first children’s book, At Least I Wasn’t Eaten by a Lion, after meeting, co-author Mathew Riek, and learning of his harrowing journey as one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. An unlikely friendship evolved from their chance encounter and together they formed a nonprofit, Shaping Bright Futures, in order to offer educational opportunities to others, like Mathew, who have experienced the loss of their home due to living in high conflict areas.
