Mounir Maaref

I am a Principal Architect at Samsung in Cambridge UK. I spent the last 25 years developing SoCs using FPGAs from both Xilinx and Altera, and ASICs with a main focus on processing platform system architecture. I have been conducting multiple research projects on multiprocessors-SoCs and providing guidelines to both HW and SW engineering teams on how to implement and integrate the HW and the embedded SW. I have also been leading the SoC architecture definition and System Modelling of multiple complex and novel systems in the Enterprise data storage, High speed ethernet communication, Satellite Communications, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The first decade of my career was customer focussed where I worked very closely with them, at system level in R&D, and had the chance to immensely learn from them. I have a Masters degree in Electronics and Telecoms. I am a 2nd Dan black belt in Tang Soo Do and I am training to become a Martial Arts instructor with the federation of Great Britain.
