I was born in a small town in Western NY called Newfane, at the time it was two lights and a couple of stop sign and that was about it. Now it's built up pretty good at least the last time I was there in 2010. Like most kids, I grew up not caring about school and especially English. I guess that makes it pretty ironic that now I enjoy writing so much. I started a story called Dark Storm somewhere around 2005, but for whatever reason I could never put my mind to it. I would write a paragraph maybe two and toss it aside saying I would do it later. Later would come and do the same thing again and again. Then I had a computer crash and lost the 15 or so pages that I had written. I think I was more in love with the idea that "yeah I'm working on a novel" than actually writing it. but for whatever reason in 2021 I sat down and read what I had again, I was so UN-impressed that I deleted everything but the introduction paragraph and started over. Before I knew it I was about 35 pages in and my wife was asking if I was ever coming to bed. Long story short, I finished the story in less than 30 days. From there I put it on the back burner to chill for a while as I started a Fantasy Sci-Fi story called Dragon's Sight. Later my niece called me one night and asked, "How do you write 'romance'", I was like how should I know, I write Sci-Fi stuff. but that night I tried a quick paragraph to see if I could and that eventually lead to my short story Romance of the Heart. In doing these stories I was learning quickly that while I could tell a good story, let's just say my grammar was not that of someone hoping to get published. So, I asked my sister who was an English major in high school and had written a few books of her own, to take a look at Dark Storm. She immediately went into edit mode, and with the edits she suggested, I saw that, hey I may actually get this done. Then she introduced me to Amazon KDP, and Dark Storm was published. I made a deal with my sister that she provided me with editing, and I would provide her with cover artwork for her books (See Gloria Fifield on Amazon for her books). Since then, I have also written a sequel to dark Storm call 'The Titan Saga' also published here on Amazon and working on a few more projects including finishing up a series that my sister started before she passed away in 2023. I hope if you read my stories that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them. That would be the best compliment a writer could have in my opinion.
