Jason Henry Evans

Jason always wanted to be a writer, he just didn’t know it. He grew up in Pasadena, Ca. Throughout the 1990s Jason mispent his youth working at the Southern California Renaissance Faire. It was here he discovered the English Renaissance and the history of Elizabethan Ireland. His experience studying 16th century Ireland changed him so much that he became a double major in college. He graduated with degrees in History & Renaissance Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 1996. After college Jason taught locally until he got married and moved to Denver in 2004. Ten years later, after starting and stopping several times, he began to write his debut novel, the Gallowglass, in earnest. That novel was released in July of 2019. During that time Jason had several short stories published in various anthologies and earned an MA in History from UC Denver. Jason also blogs regularly for Pikes Peak Writers and the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, as well as his own website.
