Hello there, My name is Michael Tenkate and I live in Gippsland, Victoria with my wife, Karen(co-author) and our 3 children. My wife is a school counsellor with degrees in nutrition and psychology. Karen is passionate about being the best Mum she can be and works hard to provide a stable, loving and stimulating upbring for our children. One of the things we find important as parents is quiet reading time at the end of a long day to relax our kids before sleep. We wrote this fun series for two main reasons. The first, was to bring a nice story for kids to enjoy, with easy-to-read sentences and colourful artwork they would love. The second, is to provide entertainment for parents as well, so they can enjoy story time in these easy to relate grown up scenarios our guinea pigs find themselves in! Karen and I, found great enjoyment coming up with pages of tough scenarios we have all experienced as grownups, to imagine how our cute little Guinea pigs might deal with them! Our hope for these books is to make any story time fun and enjoyable for the whole family. We hope all our readers start imagining things Guinea pigs or their own pets, like and don’t like. We can’t wait to hear them!
