Originally from Providence, Peter Melaragno holds a Masters Degree from Boston University’s College of Communication. In the 1980s he was an Associate Professor of Film Production at USF in Tampa. Until 2003 he was a documentary editor in Los Angeles. Among the films Mr. Melaragno has produced and directed are two documentaries made in Cuba, CUBA THE 40 YEARS WAR (narrated by Martin Sheen) and CONGA LESSONS AT THE BAY OF PIGS; two Italian travel essay videos; and the recently released (on Amazon Prime) DANCING WITH CORTÉS (the Conquest of Mexico in 1519). After living two years in Rome, he resides again in Florida, not far from two grandsons, Dylan and Alexander. Hermosa Beach is his first novel. Its principal locales: Los Angeles, Providence, Paris, Venice, and Oaxaca, Mexico.
