Kay Swatkowski is a retired Christian Counselor and ministered through a growing church in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. As a former women's ministry director and children's ministry director, she realizes how important it is for parents and grandparents to provide a spiritually encouraging environment for children. As a mother of four married children and grandmother of six, she has come to believe the greatest gift she can give to her children and grandchildren is the gift of prayer. Kay has been married to Ray for forty-one years. Together they have been church planters in St. Louis and in Menton, France. Kay and Ray are nature lovers and avid readers, both passions which they hope to pass on to their grandchildren. Their grandchildren range in age from twenty-one years to five months. Their last three grandsons joined their family through adoption. Kay teaches The Nurturing Grandparent Workshops. Sessions equip and encourage grandparents to fulfill their calling to gentlyinfluence grandchildren. Creative ideas for cousins' day, special trips with grandma and grandpa or how to celebrate each grandchild is a highlight of the conference. Kay also tackles the problem of long-distance grandparent as well as how to stay connected in spite of family conflict. Contact Kay for more information.
