Ms Martha Scott

关于作者

I believe all of us have major events that occur in our lives and our lives are never the same. My name is Martha Scott & I am a single black female, 60 years old raised in Charleston, WV. My memoir is a reckoning of what I experienced when "My Life Turned On A Dime" and then turned on another dime. The events in my memoir occurred between 2018 thru 2020. Looking back over these two years of my life the road I traveled was difficult, heartbreaking & even scary, but it also allowed me to trust and lean on God & His mercy. There are a few reasons why I wrote this memoir. I originally began to log or list everything that was happening to me from my homelessness, to the discovery of my brain tumor, to the two different rehab facilities and eventual freedom to a place of my own. People need to know what can happen to those of us in these various situations. My memoir was written to inspire others who are going through brain injury rehab to never give in and never give up. You must always aspire to improve your situation & stay positive despite how slowly progress is attained. Another reason I wrote this memoir was to remind everyone that you need to know that God is always there, He's always with you and wants you to do all you can to get better. I've never written anything like this before, but I felt like this needed to be said to increase awareness of the effects of brain injury to patients like me & also to encourage others to help in any way they can, whether that be through service, financially or emotional support. Thank you for reading my memoir. I hope it provides you with knowledge and inspiration. With all God's Blessings, Martha Scott
