Nature and travel photographer Phyllis Grey has had her images published time and again for other authors. In 2015 Anna Maria Island Sunrise to Sunset was her first solo book showcasing her writing and island photography in the style of a coffee table book. Phyllis also produced a children's book of bedtime rhymes. She illustrated the Goodnight book with digital watercolor adaptations of her photography. Both of these books have become Florida Gulf Coast favorites. Phyllis's third book, Route 66 In Search of Ghosts and Treasures will be available in late January of 2016. This historic fiction traces a modern family's vacation across the old route in the shadow of the grandmother's 1957 journey. it is for children from 5 to 105 with 66 lively pages. Illustrator Texas Tim Webb drew from the author's photography and sketches to create a colorful presentation of the travel information and history that the author delivers. Phyllis writes of what she knows and has been an island resident for years and a road warrior traveling Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles dozens of times.
