Nan Lewis Doerr

My name is Nan Doerr, and I live along the Texas Gulf Coast with my husband Sam and our kitty cat. I always knew I wanted to be a writer, but only when I turned 50 did I learn I was trying to write about the wrong things. As God began to call me into ministry, I learned that I could write and it what I wrote was acceptable as sermons and prayers. A very good friend, Virginia Stem Owens, recognized this gift in me and encouraged me to publish. When I’m not writing, I sing in two choirs, play trumpet in two bands and fill in for vacationing pastors. I also like spending time with my son and my daughter, their spouses, and our four grandchildren. I hope that you find a blessing in at least one of my two books.
