Nancy Holt worked for over 30 years as a registered nurse in hospitals and schools. She is now retired. She enjoys studying genealogy and finding family stories to write and talk about. Nancy became interested in the history of the Civil War when she read her great-grandfather's wartime letters. She enjoys visiting battlefields, museums, historical parks, and bookstores. She likes to share the Civil War stories of her many ancestors and hear the stories of other people's ancestors during that time. In addition to reading, writing, and Civil War activities, Nancy enjoys visiting the beach (especially the Atlantic coast), admiring God's creation while outdoors, and playing cards with friends. She and her husband live in South Carolina with an old cat named Little Bea.
