Nandhini JS

Nandhini JS is a filmmaker and a comic book creator. She started her creative career as a direction and screenwriting student, and a gold medalist at FTIT (Film & Television Institute of Tamil Nadu). In 2003, she won the prestigious Tamil Nadu State Award for 'Best Director' for her student short film 'Ottam'. The film also won a State Award for 'Best Editing'. She is best known for her romantic-comedy movie 'Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru' (2009), produced by Sathyam Cinemas and Real Image Media Technologies, starring actors Ajmal Ameer, Rupa Manjari and veteran filmmaker Mouli. In 2015, she self-published her creation 'Sivappu Kal Mookuthi', the very first digital comic book in Tamil, along with it's English version 'Girl with a Red Nose Ring'. She is the founder of Make Believe Productions,a chennai-based media production house for ad films, corporate films, documentaries, music videos, web series and other video content creations. In 2018, she wrote & directed 'Nila Nila Odi Vaa', a Tamil Vampire Web Series, produced by Viu India and executed by Make Believe Productions. It stars actors Ashwin Kakumanu and Sunainaa in lead roles.
