Nick Benas

Nick Benas, a former United States Marine Sergeant and Iraq Combat Veteran, is a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon-Do and a Green Belt Instructor in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. He holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and an MS in Public Policy from Southern Connecticut State University. Originally from Guilford, Connecticut, Nick is a die-hard Los Angeles Dodgers fan but occasionally roots for the Boston Red Sox, especially during matchups against the New York Yankees. A self-proclaimed pizza aficionado, he highly recommends Wooster Street in New Haven, CT—home to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, The Spot, and Sally's Apizza—for what he considers the best pizza in the world.
