Nigel Barley

Nigel Barley was born in Surrey, England in 1947. After studying at Cambridge and Oxford, he lectured in social anthropology at the University of London before joining the British Museum in 1980 as an Assistant Keeper in the Department of Ethnography. In 2003 he escaped from the museum and now divides his time between England and Indonesia with his partner and is a full-time writer and broadcaster,
