Nigel Carlson

Nigel Carlson has written several books on gardening, horticulture, and cultivation. Considered an expert in his field, Nigel has dedicated his life to sustainment of plants and trees while also delving into how they tie into the life of the Earth. Nigel has always felt at home with his hands in the dirt. Growing up in the Midwest, he spent his childhood working on the family farm. It wasn’t until college where he realized he was meant to be more than a mere farmhand. In order to fully understand his relationship with growing and developing plant life, Nigel buckled down, increased his studies and graduated with a degree in horticulture. His love for gardening has won him modest awards at various state fairs and increased his reputation as a man people can trust. Of particular pride is his prize rose collection. Nigel currently lives in a small town in Iowa with his wife and their faithful black and tan hound dog.
