I have a lifelong interest in history and heritage, particularly the Roman period in Britain. From this foundation I established and grew a tour company with primary focus on Scotland but also visiting other parts of the British Isles. For approximately thirteen years, until retirement in 2018, I arranged, and in most cases escorted, a wide range of customised tours for groups of all sizes but predominantly small groups. These tours had a wide range of themes including personal ancestry, Scottish clans, sightseeing, castles, film locations, towns and cities, islands, whisky distilleries and much more. Following retirement I collated and curated all the information and images collected over time and condensed same into the book titled Visitors' Guide to Scotland which I sincerely hope will prove a useful resource for persons interested in and/or planning to visit Scotland.
