Coming from a family of lawyers, Nikki Goldstein bucked the trend and became a journalist. Despite journalism being a perfectly respectable profession, her late father never stopped worrying about her or being suspicious of journalists. To prove to him she could make a “proper” living, she wrote dozens of books and was an awarded copywriter and journalist. It didn’t help. Her Dad was still worried. Nikki began her career at Vogue and went on to hold senior editorial positions at Elle and Marie-Claire. She’s well known for GirlForce, a teen girl self-empowerment series of seven books. The series was published in the USA, Russia, Israel and Greece. In 2004 GirlForce won a prestigious Australian Publishing Association award, the Random House Best Designed Children’s Series. With a passion for helping people be their best selves, and ignoring her parent’s worst fears, Nikki has studied counselling and Jungian studies (heaven knows she needed to). When she's not working on her publishing business, Go2Guru, she’s attending to her two needy dachshunds, Archie and Sunny, or doing yoga on her deck in Sydney.
