I am a biologist, wildlife and travel photographer, writer, journalist and explorer, living in Germany for almost 20 years. Over the last 10 years I have published dozens of articles about Nature, Science, Wildlife and Travel in “National Geographic”, “National Geographic Traveler”, “GEO” and “Scientific American” and other less known magazines. Besides that, I have conducted myself research and published numerous scientific papers, reviews and book chapters in the field of neuroscience, learning and memory, and behavior of animals. This is my first travel book, which I decided to write after I was so much impressed by Patagonia, during my trip to this fascinating “end-of-the-world” wilderness in Spring, 2017. I only regret that I was missing in this trip such “smart” travel guide, otherwise, I would be much more efficient as a wildlife photographer and traveler, additionally, I would safe some money, time and nerves... :) With this first book, I start my new “wilderness explorer series”, which I hope, will be a good “practical tool”, an all-to-know set of unique guide books for you (for me as well), while you are exploring the world with responsible mind and open heart as a truly nature lover. Very soon it will be more travel & wildlife books coming from me; I am finishing now a few books about Patagonia: "Torres del Paine" and "Tierra del Fuego" Nationals Parks, "Perito Moreno" Glacier and then it will be 2-3 books about my forever-beloved Iceland and Faroe Islands, where I cycled a lot and photographed wildlife and astonishing landscapes... Check my page regularly! :)
