Olive Peart describes herself as a people watcher and enjoys trying to figure out what motivates others. She is an avid reader and writer and the author of both fiction and non-fiction books for young adults, and healthcare professionals. As an established radiologic technologist educator, she regularly presents webinar and seminars on mammography and other radiography-related topics. Peart was the keynote speaker at Let’s Get Ready Summer Career Day Kick-Off on July 30th, 2011. The mission of Let’s Get Ready is to expand college access for motivated, low-income high school students. On June 2010, she was honored at the Juneteenth Celebration of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Westchester and Rockland Counties (NY) at its annual award dinner. The Chamber recognized her as one of the "10 Influential Blacks" in Westchester & Rockland Counties. Her published non-fiction books are Life After High School: Traits that Help & Traits that Hurt, Radiographic Projections & Positioning Guide, the Dangers of Medical Radiation, Mammography and Breast Imaging Prep, Lange Q&A Mammography Examination and Mammography and Breast Imaging: Just the Facts. Olive writes fiction using the pseudonyms Jo Dinage for her young adult fiction tiles and Liv Joanka for her adult fiction titles. Her young adult titles are Khenan Wins, Mind Games, The Starlight Kids, Mystery of the Feather Burglar, Linked and The Intruders. Her adult fiction titles are In Love with and Alien, She Likes Sugar and Death of the Immortals.
