Orrin Turner II was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 19 and completed three overseas combat tours as an airborne infantryman. Upon returning home from his second deployment, he attended and graduated from Army Ranger School, where he ultimately returned to instruct mountaineering for many years. Orrin was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat during his third and final combat deployment. Thereafter, he was commissioned as a Warrant Officer and was assigned to fly the CH-47F Chinook. Orrin is also a qualified Army Pathfinder and Jump Master. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, woodworking, and spending quality time with his family.
