Owen Ware was born just outside of Vancouver, Canada, and grew up in the Okanagan valley, a place renowned for its beautiful lakes, mountains, and orchards. After obtaining his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Toronto, Owen taught at Temple University, Simon Fraser University, and spent a year in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow, before returning to the University of Toronto as a professor in the Department of Philosophy. Owen's philosophical interests are wide-ranging, with a focus on Kant, German Idealism, 19th Century Philosophy, and South Asian Philosophy. For more information, see his website at: www.owenware.ca.
