PJS Martin has nearly completed her metamorphosis. Her travel adventure/romantic memoir, "Floaters: The Professor and the Captain," was published in 2021. With that, she will have made the switch from entomologist/professor of environmental science/college administrator to being a full-time, published author. She does not call this change ‘retirement’ though others might. Her writing schedule turns to fiction: an environmental cozy mystery series starring Rainey Collins as the scientist-sleuth. After that, she will decide whether to continue in the world of cozy mysteries or switch back to nonfiction … maybe a book on Water? Popular science? Or the adventures of university field trips? She is enjoying the flexibility of choosing her way. She is from Buffalo, NY, still dreams of the Buffalo Bills winning the Super Bowl, and currently lives in Alaska in a town that gets less snow than Buffalo did. She was a professor at Emory University and then Juniata College before joining the forces of college administration. In Alaska, she shares her home with a dear husband. They also had the rescue dog that came with a rescue cat, though recently the rescue dog passed on and only her rescue cat remains. This has forced Paula and her husband to admit that maybe they are cat people. You can connect with PJS Martin on Facebook at facebook.com/PJS Martin Books or on her website: pjsmartin.com.
