I've written 37 books over the years and I feel like a dinosaur of the publishing industry because of it, but I'm still at it two decades later. I don't know if I'm crazy or just stubborn. When not writing, I love to ride horses. This gets really confusing at times because RIDE and WRITE sound way too much alike. I've been known to go off on a tangent about my horse only to realize someone was asking about my writing. I joke that I'm going to have SHE SAID RIDING, NOT WRITING on my tombstone. I like to tell people that I write grown-up-girl horse stories since most of my books feature the animals I love. Or dogs. There's almost always a canine around, too. When not writing books I show my American Quarter Horse all over the western US. Or I'm running a rodeo queen competition. Or I'm drawing and painting horses. (Did I mention I love horses?) I'm also a columnist for the American Quarter Horse Journal, a gig that started out on a lark and ended up being a decade-long labor of love. You can find my non-fiction writing for horse magazines under the name Pamela Britton-Baer. I enjoy interacting with readers, so if you're in the mood to chat, find me on Facebook. www.facebook.com/pamelabrittonauthor
