Pat Black-Gould

Pat Black-Gould, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and an award-winning author and playwright. Her historical fiction novel, All the Broken Angels, cowritten with Steve Hardiman, is a 2024 Finalist for the Royal Palm Literary Awards from the Florida Writers Association. Her short stories have appeared in several anthologies and literary magazines. Pat's first book—The Crystal Beads, Lalka’s Journey—has won three Gold Medals from: the Royal Palm Literary Awards, the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, and the Northern Lights Book Awards. Pat has appeared on the WSRE PBS TV program Conversations with Jeff Weeks. She also conducts author talks and educational presentations. As a psychologist, Pat worked for the Veterans Administration and specialized in treating Vietnam veterans. She was also the coordinator for the LGBTQ+ veterans program. In the theater world, Pat worked as a director, producer, and playwright in New York and New England.
